Detention Officer

As a Detention Officer, you will provide protection of life and property, conduct daily operation of the Banks County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center, and control inmate security and movement. Opportunities include full and part time employment.

Annual Salary: Starting at $22.90 hourly, $52,000* annually.

*Annual pay includes thirteen paid holidays guaranteed to the employee.

• Possess a High school education or equivalent

• Possess a valid Georgia driver’s license (Class C) and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

• Successfully complete the Basic Jail Officer Certification Course.

• Successfully complete annually required in-service training.
